To initiate the app, firstly, you need to register with your phone number. Secondly, select your origin and destination. Lastly, the app will show you an estimated price; then you can use a promo code if you have one to get discounts. After the ride is confirmed, the map will show you the location of the taxis and you can track your journey.

The accuracy of the Grab map here is unreliable and misleading. Though Grab still has room for improvement, it's by far, the best option to get a convenient transport in Bangkok.
